I'm Savannah—herbalist, wellness coach, and nutrition consultant. I suppose you could say I wear a lot of hats, but that’s just how I’ve always been: following my curiosity wherever it leads. For years, I tried to fit my passions into tidy boxes, but it never felt right. Finally, I decided to embrace the chaos and weave everything I love into one path. That’s how Forager's Hut was born—a place where nature, health, and community meet.
My love for nature started early. I grew up traveling and living in a camper, spending most of my childhood outdoors. Some of my favorite memories are of wandering through the woods, poking at plants, and watching my grandmother make dandelion wine and rub orange peels on her face, insisting it kept her skin young. Those little moments sparked a fascination with the power of plants that never left me.
As I got older, I set my sights on becoming a nurse practitioner—I wanted to help people heal. Life had other plans. I got married, had three children, and found myself trying to balance family life, navigating my oldest childs health needs, and college. It was exhausting. I finally decided to pause school and focus on my family, but my passion for healing never left. Instead, it evolved. On my hikes I found myself, identifying plants, and devouring every herbal book I could get my hands on.
Hi everyone! I am Savannah Gray, soon to be board certified holistic nutrition consultant (BCHN), board registered herbalist (RH-AHG), and board certified wellness coach (NBC-HWC). I am also a wife and a mother who enjoys the outdoors with my family. I have an infinite love for exploring God's great earth and a never-ending passion for learning just about anything.
My curiosity for herbalism grew into a deep respect for how plants could truly support health and healing. This journey led me to explore not just herbalism but nutrition and wellness coaching as well. My son's struggle with chronic gut issues and learning challenges opened my eyes to the powerful connection between food and well-being. When conventional methods weren’t working, I turned to whole foods and herbs—and it changed everything. He and the rest of my family are now able to be the best versions of ourselves. Doctors are important but I believe health starts at home with a good mindset, whole foods, and herbs.
I started studying through hands-on experience then continued my studies in nutrition, herbalism, and wellness coaching at Hill College. I believe deeply in the magic of plants and the importance of understanding the land around you. My hope for Forager's Hut is that it can be a place of community healing; a stop along the country road where you can gather what you need—whether that’s a bit of wisdom, a handful of herbs, some local whole foods, or just a good conversation.
I’m here to help families and individuals who feel lost in the weeds of information overload, chronic health issues, or major life changes. I want you to feel supported, heard, and capable of living life to fullest every day.
